I’ve been reading articles and news for a while to feed my personal and professional interest, curiosity too. This is a rather passive way: reading, not contributing.
Though I exchange emails with friends, colleagues or contacts about my readings on subjects I like: the private contribution.
Of course I’ve been participating to forums of various kinds, contributing by the mean of nicknames: the anonymous contribution. I’ll come back in an article later about this “so-called anonymous” aspect.
At some point, I decided to contribute by the mean of comments in several blogs. The interesting aspect here is my willingness to contribute with my real name: the public contribution.
I realize I have more to say than just comments in various blogs. This leads me to think about blogging myself. I read various articles about blogging and I did not start my blog right away. I had to answer a couple of questions first. Would I be able to maintain my blog overtime? What kind of articles do I want to publish? What about their frequency? Shall I write in English or French? Etc.
I feel now I’m ready to start this blog.
This blog is about sharing my views on specific news or blogs’ articles I read. I plan to write my own articles too. I like subjects around privacy, e-reputation, business aspect of the web, usage of Internet and IT for people at home or at work.
I might write in French from time to time, quand l’envie m’en prendra.
It looks like I’m ready to start.
